Printing has become such an ingrained part of business today, most of use never stop to think how many resources we’re using and the long-term effects, both ecologically and financially.

Small changes in print behavior can be a good starting point:

  • Set print defaults to “grayscale” or “fast draft” to conserve toner.
  • Remove unnecessary logos, images, photos and graphs from documents before printing.
  • Recycle used toner cartridges.

But you can make larger changes as well.

  • Consolidating and streamlining your printer fleet saves plenty of resources.
  • Using digital documents not only cuts down on your use of paper and toner, it reduces the need for large storage spaces and increases productivity and security.
